About the
Ministry |
It is a desire of this
ministry to follow Jesus’ strategy for impacting the world, spreading
the good news of God’s love and redemption, and inviting everyone into
an intimate relationship and union with the Father, the Holy Spirit,
and himself.
What was God’s strategy?
Jesus chose to invest in a
small group of men, who would then invest in others. He chose to
mentor, shepherd, and develop those men in such a way that eventually
they would be able to do exactly what he was doing, without his
physical presence. He told this small group of men to “Go and make
disciples” – follow my example, do the same things I did, show others
how to receive the extravagant love of an intimately relational God,
how to love God with their whole being (heart, soul, mind, and
strength), how to love themselves in healthy ways that will allow God's
love to flow through them to others, and how to love other’s
extravagantly. This strategy of investing in individuals has radically
impacted our world even to this day.
Paul continued to model this
strategy when he told Timothy, "And the things you have heard me say in
the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men (and women) who
will also be qualified to teach others" (2 Tim 2:2).
Our developmental focus is
on the next generation, specifically people in their twenties -
reliable men and women who are gifted in leading and shepherding others
and who desire to pass on what they have received. As young leaders
experience the personal investment Jesus modeled, they can then
lovingly invest in others.
Primarily this is done
through one-on-one meetings, transformational small groups, serving
events, and training conferences and retreats.
The ministry believes in a
holistic approach to growth and development. To truly experience the
abundant life, we need to submit our entire being to God, not just our
intellect. We are convinced that people holistically heal, mature, and
grow as leaders when they’re deeply known and fully loved - by God,
others, and themselves.
Part of the process of
becoming more loving is helping people understand the barriers they
have that keep them from giving and receiving love. Once these barriers
are identified, we can then assist God in removing the barriers so they
may experience more and more of His unconditional love. When people
more fully receive and soak in God's love, they become more loving.
They grow spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and begin to exercise
more powerful, transformational leadership. They begin to live a Life
of Love, living out of their True Self, speaking from their True Voice,
and engaging the world in their own uniquely redemptive and
transformational way.
