Legacy Shepherding Ministries, Inc. – Randy’s November 2025 Update
Here are more cool ways the influential leaders (your generous support has impacted) are investing in others:
The Untitled Conference Was Indescribable (but I’ll try anyway)!
I had the joyful privilege of attending the 5th annual Untitled Conference, hosted by Generation Distinct. This year’s conference had 114 participants and 27 mentors. It was my first time attending.
Hannah and Aaron lead Generation Distinct (generationdistinct.com),a ministry whose main goal is to help young leaders discover the wrong they were born to make right and then equip those young leaders to redeem the wrong, to make it right. The ministry achieves this goal through having participants engage in: a four-month cohort, monthly coaching opportunities, a leadership development program, and an annual conference experience called Untitled.

At most conferences participants don’t have any interactions with the expert speakers. What’s unique about the Untitled conference is that it is purposely designed to give participants direct access to experienced mentors in various practical fields, who can help them accomplish their purpose and redeem the wrong they were born to make right.
Two of my favorite experiences of the conference were:
- a Creative Expressions session, where a pre-approved group of young leaders courageously stepped on stage to share their crafts. One young woman shared a deeply moving spoken word creation. Some sang songs they’d written. Some shared brief messages they wanted to present to an audience. One young man from Mexico played electronic dance club music with some Christian words. He loves that genre of music and hates that it’s usually associated with drugs and excess. He wants to redeem this genre for God.
- a “Shark Tank” – like event where young leaders pitched their redemptive ideas to a panel who would select the top three to win cash prizes to help fund their ideas. The young leaders did an impressive job sharing their ideas in under 5 minutes, followed by questions and comments from the panel for 5 minutes. Examples of ideas were:
- One woman is a facia (connective tissue) therapist, who shared examples of incredible physical healing she has seen in her patients. She wants to expand her business. The redemption she wants to see is that many facia therapists are into new age practices. She wants to provide this type of healing in a spiritually safe, Christ-centered environment, where the only spirit at work is the Holy Spirit;
- There was a young woman who wants to create a non-profit to help develop loving community in her neighborhood for people who don’t attend church, with the hope of moving them toward Christ’s love outside of a church building. (It sounds like a missional community, described in last month’s update);
- a young man who wrote a children’s book with Christian themes. The night before he presented, this young man shared with me what he planned to say. I was able to give him some practical advice that he believed helped make his presentation a 3rd place money winner! He was super grateful; and
- a traveling worship leader and song writer who is trying to buy a restored school bus to travel with his band and family. He and his wife won 2nd place. He and I have remained in touch since the conference.
Huge shout out to Hannah & Aaron. The amount of work, planning, and leadership that went into pulling this conference off was astounding. Plus, they both were stellar on stage, leading and inspiring the young leaders God has entrusted them with. It’s always fun for me to see people I’ve mentored do what they were created to do and to watch them and the Holy Spirit shine. These two shone brightly in a Spirit filled way.
At the conference, I led two small group mentor sessions entitled, “Overcoming Blocks & Barriers in Your Spiritual Life”, because if leaders aren’t addressing the blocks in their lives, they will never fully accomplish the good works God has for them.
Brad (an Alum) Became the Principal of Wheaton Academy (a Christian High School)!
When Brad and I began meeting in 2018, he was a part-time Assistant Vice Principal, English teacher, and football coach at Wheaton Academy. It was obvious from the start the Lord had even more influential roles for Brad to play. We shared an incredible journey together as I watched God develop Brad into an amazing leader.
This summer Brad Thornton was promoted to being the Principal of Wheaton Academy!
Brad told me being mentored played an impactful role in his life. God used it to help equip him for this influential new position.
Congrats, Brad! The students, teachers, and parents are so blessed to have you as their new principal! You are investing in the future leaders of our world!
You Can Make A Difference:
The world changes one person at a time…and I believe most of us would agree that our world is in need of some serious changes. What’s the wrong you were born to make right?
This ministry focuses on influential difference-makers who have the potential to lovingly impact many people around them, and then equip those people to do the same with others. The Lord is actively doing powerful work through these leaders. Righting wrongs and passing on Jesus’ Legacy of Love…and you can too!
Would you please join my financial support team and join me in praying regularly for these influential young leaders?
